New WordPress theme competition
I write at theundersigned.net that a new theme competition is arriving in near future
Theme designers please already now start thinking about a design for the competition - pre-released themes and themes based on other themes will not be accepted

I’d like to see a contest for creating the most customizable theme. It’s frustrating to find themes and, not being adept at reworking code, to face a mostly take it or leave it situation.
I mean, is it possible to create a new or updated theme that does all this:
1. has sidebar widgets
2. has a width that can change, or better yet an option to fix or float the width
3. has options or instructions for how to change the height of the header color area/art; place the name left, right or center; and resize the name.
4. has art that’s easily replaced via options or instructions
5. has option (or downloads B & C) for placing sidebar at right or left, or even having both
6. has options or instructions for customizing all the colors: fonts, rules, etc.
7. fonts and type sizes, too.
Nobody’s going to like everything about a theme … everybody has different ideas, preferences and needs.
So I’m suggesting a new category: Most customizable theme, which could include upgrades of old themes … or could even be won by an existing theme, which sure deserves some special recognition (so I can find it).
I’d contribute to the prize pool for this.

Paul, Not that we were looking at your post, but I think the Guru Manger Theme sort of covers a lot of what you are looking for.
Version 1.1 (current) has built in Color adjuster for every aspect fot he Theme, a built in choice of 26 graphic Headers and the ability to upload your own, Navbar link alterations, Google AdSense activating and deactivating. Sidebar Widgets. Ajax Tooltips on links and abbr and acronyms. All without any code in sight from your Sidebar after Login.
Version 1.5 will have Multi-language support, Multiple CSS Style Sheet choices on the fly, Google AdSense positioning on any page of your blog.
No need for heavy instructions, as it is all done from your sidebar with no code alterations. We even have full Flash Tutorials to show you how to change everything. Take a look at the current Demo Site or drop over to download at the Guru Manager Theme site.

John firstly Guru Manager is not Spam or Vaporware. It is a theme that has taken many months to develop and while you are entitled to any opinion you might have, your accusatons are both unhelpful and without validation.

John firstly Guru Manager is not Spam or Vaporware.I will using mysite, kvteror.com, woush.com, luzum.com, esonuc.com, turkzirve.com, iddaalig.net, yalan.org, sanalalan.org.
