Downloads, stats etc.
The theme viewer is about to hit it’s 600.000th download since relaunch June 17th, 2006. In other words, 600.000 downloads in 70 days - approximately 8500 daily downloads. No wonder why the viewer can seem a bit slow some times
I have just finished up a more detailed download logger - this means that we can grab info about every single download - IP, is it the owner of the theme, what theme has the person downloaded, how many times have this specific person downloaded the same theme etc - this will also help me to point out “spammers” who continuously downloads their own themes to be placed between the most downloaded themes.
Along with the download logger I have installed mint on the website, this basically just means that I have access to more detailed information about the use of the viewer, where people come from etc.
Just a few news updates ![]()

One catch I should mention is that Mint (from looking at the website) seems to rely on Javascript, so anyone wanting to ‘game the system’ could simply use NoScript (or similar Javascript-disablers for non-Mozilla browsers) to block it. That won’t stop the download logger of course.

The download statistics system I have developed doesnt rely on Mint or JS, so it shouldnt be possible to game the system
Mint is only to keep rough stats of the site usage.Comment by The undersigned — September 1, 13:54

Firstly,Thank you very much for this themes that you are shareman:)and wonderfull.
In case anyone is wondering, the header.psd file is in the images folder. You can edit it in photoshop/elements and replace the “rockin suckerfish” logo with one of your own for personalization.I will using mysite, kvteror.com, woush.com, luzum.com, esonuc.com, turkzirve.com, iddaalig.net, yalan.org, sanalalan.org.The image shows up properly on the linked page but for some strange reason not on this site (in any Browser I tested it: FF, MSIE, Opera)Totally awesome theme Nathan, you should be proud. The Suckerfish menu will draw a lot (I repeat LOT) of people to use this!Comment by brka147 — March 15, 18:17

I wonder what the difference is between Mint and Google Analytics?
Comment by April — August 25, 19:45
600,000? Wow and congratulations!
I must admit to being irritated by the ’spammers’ who download their own themes repeatedly in oder to stay in the ‘most popular’ list - how pathetic. Really pathetic.
I wish you could implement something that would encourage folks to ‘rate’ the themes a little more often too - perhaps asking them to rate a theme before they can download it? I know some would argue that it’s not possible to rate until after evaluation on their own blog, but hey - they must have evaluated it a little on the demo site before choosing to download it, unless they are just downloading it for the sake of it.
Anyway (my fave word), congrats once again on hitting the 600k mark!
