Very, very nice.
One problem I have with most themes is that, out of the box, they’re too busy. I liked the clean, crisp look of this theme as soon as I saw it and downloaded it right away. Thank you very much.

Tranquility White…

[...] After doing a little poking around, I found this nice simple theme by Roy Tanck and decided to use it. I made some minor modifications to the sidebar so that the search function is on top for better visibility instead of being buried under all my links. [...]

[...] Deasemenea a durat mult până m-am hotărât ce temă să folosesc. Am trecut prin Quilm!, Tranquility white, Chewy, The Journalist, iar într-un final m-am stabilit la Barecity pe care am găsit-o la Plaintxt. [...]

I just updated this theme. I replaced the now ‘deprecated’ categories (wp_list_cats) function with the shiny new WP 2.1 one (wp_list_categories) and added widget support.
I also removed the space in the theme folder name (which caused the css to not be found in some cases), so please set your blog to temporarily use another theme, delete the old version, upload this one and activate it.

I’ve decided to restore WP 2.0.x support. Please download version 1.2 if you’re running an ‘older’ version of WP (I had one of my blogs running 1.5 until last week).

Is it just me or is this a corrupt file. I just tried the original black version for Download with bad results as well.
Looks good, but again, can’t try it.

I’m having no trouble downloading and unpacking the file. Perhaps you can try a different unzipper?

I’m using it and love it. Any chance of updating this to be widget friendly?:)

[...] I started off with one of the most open themes I could find, Tranquility White 1.0 by Roy Tanck, and used it as a base for Easy Grey. I have a co-ordinated eye, but I’m not at all artistic and was having problems designing a header, so I decided to do away with a visible header alltogether, moving a little header image linking to my site root on the sidebar. The theme was originally “Easy White”, but it was just too plain, hence the injection of grey with seems to work well with the maroon. I’ve kept the XHTML and CSS validation, and have made the theme truly 800×600 friendly (no scrolling) without, well I hope without making it look too cramped. [...]
