  1. This theme is very lightweight (only 58kb). Instead of switching images to change the color I used a single png for each of the areas that change color and use javascript to change the background color of the containing div.

    I also included ‘options-page’ in the tag because of the color chooser, while this is not a full fledged menu of options it does allow for customization.

    The owner of the blog can also easily specify a default color by change a minimal amount of css and cookies allow the individual users preferred color selection to remain.
