  3. Why are all these images blank? I can’t see thumbnails or fullsize in IE or Fx. They’re just black squares. I can’t be the only one with this behavior…

  4. Did you design for WP 2.1? The sidebar is hosed it appears. More coordination of the color palette (especially with regard to the blockquote) is warranted. Post divider graphic could be less abstract. Have no way of knowing what the sidebar looks like since it’s broken. My solution would be to create the sidebar that works with this site (pre-Ella/2.1) and create a separate sidebar file with the Ella code in it. I would be interested to know how other theme designers deal with this issue.

  5. Joni, I use WP 2.1 and have both WP 2.0.x and WP 2.1.x on my test “site”. I don’t understand what you mean when you say the sidebar is “broken”. What is broken about it? There are many sites out there that use this theme and they have a variety of versions of WordPress ranging from 2.0.3 to 2.1.2, and even some on WordPress MU. In fact, the way the sidebar is handled is via CSS which hasn’t changed for my themes since 1.5.x.

ReaderX, the images are blank at this point because of some glitch in the site software. The last time I posted a theme the same thing was going on. The site admins will clean it up soon.

  6. BillH, it must have been a glitch, because the sidebar wasn’t displaying, it was fussing about a missing php file and of course when it hits that, everything stops dead in its tracks. It looks much better now. I do happen to like the textured background too. :)

  7. And now that I can see the entire design, I really like the “Shoveled into…” intro to the categories as well.
