I completely recommend adding widget support. I’ve added support to the theme on my site, and it eliminates having to hack up the code any time you want to add something to your sidebar. Basically, it creates a totally on-the-fly dynamic sidebar. You can read about widgets at Wordpress. Also, I really would love to see the update using “the loop” …it would be awesome if you’d integrate the loops support, and would make editing where everything goes much easier. You can find more about it on the above site.

Hi Matteo.
I like very much this theme.
thanks I will use it.
There is large place for articles, and it is nice to read a large text.
I like is simplicity. Classical for lot of purpose.I have a question about it.
In this month I try a lot of theme, so your.
and just now after coming back to your, i was surprise because there is no Archives button on the menu bar ? and no archives by month ? i’m sure i saw them before!
is it beacuse you change it ? or is it because i have not enought article ?
Best regards.

I really like this theme and I am using it for 2 site http://www.fastairporttravel.com and http://www.successtips.us Success Tips works fine and was the first of the two I went live with. Fast Airport Travel will not validate with the rss directories. Cannot figure out what the problem is and what to do about it. I will hold off rating this theme pending resolution. I really need the rss feeds to recognize this blog.

Please download the theme again: you’ll find updates and a fresh new look.
For the RSS feed, try to search on wordpress.org for help: this is a wordpress installation or configuration problem (not a template related problem)
A quick solution (base on my experience): You can try to download the WordPress FeedBurner Plugin, create a feedburner account and you redirect all traffic to feedburner. (The plugin is well done and very well explained)
Have Fun

[...] I just finished upgrading this blog software - WordPress - to version 2.0.5 and looking at some different themes to use. I really like three column themes and finally decided on the one you see here called AndyBlue. I’m also using a new editor called ChenPress, to write this post. It has a lot of features and is highly recommended. I got it because the description said it would be easier to upload images, something I want to do more of. I uploaded the image below as a test and the editor worked like a charm. Very clear and easy way to upload images. Will write more about it as I explore more of its features. BTW, it’s based on the FCK Editor, so is a well-known editor. [...]

I like the theme a lot, thanks! The only issue I’ve noticed is that when I hover over the “No comments” or “1 Comment” area, the comment image disappears. Also, on my screen the user and category images are partially obscured by the invisible box around the comments words. When I mouse over the comment words, the comment image disappears but the other two are fully visible. Is there any way around this?

Comment by Matteo — June 28, 20:58
Very nice theme; shame it’s completely invalid. (169 validation errors on my blog with this as the theme; 0 errors using the default theme.)
It looks like the biggest complaint is your habit of using tags without an enclosing or . That, and at least one place where the href in an tag is not enclosed in quotes.
Comment by Jeff Licquia — July 1, 16:06
Uh, that wasn’t cool.
I meant to say: …your habit of using [li] tags without an enclosing [ul] or [ol]. That, and at least one place where the href in an [a] tag is not enclosed in quotes.
Comment by Jeff Licquia — July 1, 16:09
I’ve updated the theme to validate as XHTML 1.0 Transitional and valid CSS. (It seems that at least the Spam Karma 2 plugin outputs tags that break XHTML 1.1 validation, so it seemed prudent to downgrade the version for safety’s sake.)
If you can do Bazaar-NG version control, you can use my bzr repository; otherwise, you can view my changes.
Comment by Jeff Licquia — July 1, 18:48
I REALLY like this theme, but I’d like to add ads in the left sidebar. Possible?
Thanks and GOOD WORK!
Comment by EugeneG. — July 3, 16:59
X EugeneG.
Please open README.txt and you’ll find a little how-to. Don’t use 160×600 ads but 120×600 (Google Ads)
X Jeff Licquia
I realized the theme without being interesting in valid xhtml. My first objective was a fluid, working and ready to use theme; a classic theme to upload and use for a normal wordpress installation, a theme with the same layout if you have firefox or internet explorer users. However i appreciate comments (positive or negative)
Sorry for my english (3/4 italian language, 1/4 english
)

That’s great, Matteo. Feel free to incorporate my enhancements. Let me know if you need something like a license grant.
I’ve fixed the last issue: adding [ul] tags did make the theme look worse by adding space between the dark blue header and the light blue link bar. It shouldn’t anymore.
If you want to see how the theme looks with the validation fixes, my blog uses it.
Comment by Jeff Licquia — July 4, 16:35

I love this theme! The only thing I wish was different is that I want to use widgets. Last time I tried to add widget support to a theme it came out all screwey. Could you possibly add widget support? It’s only about 3 lines of code, and it would make the theme 10x better.
EXCELLENT work, and thank you Matteo!

Comment by baby — July 8, 8:36
You got a problem: You don’t have a program like WinRar
1) Go to http://www.rarlab.com/ and download the app
2) Extract AndyBlue.rar (from my site)or AndyBlue.Zip (if you do the download from themes.wordpress.net)
3) Upload the folder AndyBlue to your www/wp-content/themes folder
4) Select it from themes

Hi again (baby above #24 and #25). I have done what you suggested. AndyBlue now appears in my theme list. I select it, get the message that a new theme has been installed. Thank you also for the wordpress help site. I’ve been there and I’m unable to find help with themes that don’t look like they’re supposed to. If you would rather I move this discussion over there, just tell me where to go. I really like this theme and don’t want to give up. Thanks again.

[...] DeviceReps.com is designed as a job posting site. The site focuses on medical device sales which is one of the top paying professions in the sales industry. A first year device rep can expect to make anywhere from $125K to $180K. Experienced reps are making $200-$700K per year. It is a fast paced, highly competetive career. Very tough to break into. My site is built on Wordpress blog technology. Wordpress is the only blog format I’ll use because it’s powerful, efficient, and extremely simple to manage. The theme that I’ve used to flavor my blog comes from Matteo Turchetto Inspired by Andreas 08 of Andreas Viklund. Its a simple three column theme called AndyBlue ver 1 which has enabled me to aggressively place my Adsense Ads. My content is pulled from RSS feeds on Monster, HotJobs, Careerbuilder, Craigslist, etc..with two programs called NetNewsWire (RSS feed collator) and MarsEdit (weblog editor). These two programs work together to publish any syndicated content I choose to my blog. Easy Stuff. The cost to run DeviceReps.com is $9.95 per month. It’s hosted by Dreamhost.com. They have been a reliable, low cost provider of bandwidth. I only use one account to host four weblogs. You can’t beat that. When I start getting massive traffic I’ll change my plans, until then I’m sitting tight. The medical device sales industry is definately a niche industry and Google seems to pay pretty well for the Adsense ads on DeviceReps.com. Since I began the site on July 1st 2006, it has produced some surprising numbers for me with Adsense. I’m hoping that continues. I too love this theme and I’m using it on my site. I also have the one complaint about no commenting from the main page. Steve, in comment #33 above, gave some instructions about adding comments but it was not clear to me. Can someone give a fuller explaination about where t#respond”>Comments? need to go? I assume it goes in style.css but where?
Comment by Ron Goodwyne — July 26, 1:24
Matteo,
These theme looks great, I like the space in the page combined with the three columns - alot to use. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to work for me using Firefox. There are a series of dotted lines that push the left column into the centre. Any ideas what the problem could be?
I was also wondering if it was possible to cusomtize the header and how I would go about doing that.
Do you have plans to keep working on this theme? Like baby, I also would like to keep discussing this theme and working on improvements.
Thanks again.

Please read the README file (it’s in the folder AndyBlue) : you’ll find basic info for Archives Page and Google Ads
