  1. Very clean layout, and very customizable. I’m currently using this theme on my site.

  2. Very Plain.

  3. To say that plaintxtBlog is my least favorite of the plaintxt.org theme stable is really kind of unfair, as the other themes are so good as to overshadow what is in all fairness a very strong (3-column!) minimalist design. While it might not be as good as its siblings, it’s still very worthy of a serious look-see.

  6. Call it fluid or floating design, Scott Wallick’s themes flex properly to fit most any resized browser window. And what a range of browsers his designs fit — even my old IE for Macintosh looks good.

    Cannot redeclare plaintxtblog_basefontsize()

  2. Hmmm. Not sure, MrMike, though it does seem to be working fine for the other hundreds of users.

  3. PlainTXT is a 4-star theme. For some reason, when viewing the index page on a 800 by 600, the posts get pushed below the sidebars. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. Anyway, I love all Scott’s themes and I’ll be featuring them in intervals.

  5. drmike, are you running lyceum? if so change edit the $wp_version = line in /src/lib/wp-includes/version.php to a number greater than 2. eg $wp_version = 2.32 (since I’m using lyceum 0.32)

    Scott, shame on you, you didn’t even try!

  6. Hey! I’ve been using plaintxtblog 1.4 for some time now on one of my personal blogs. I was looking to set up a blog at the office to educated the unwashed masses there about all their advantages, and found all the widget stuff etc.

    You see, I’m mostly too busy to update my own very often.

    Now, I went looking for a widget ready plain looking template for my blog at the eye, and I find this.

    Great, this has made my weekend!

  2. I love this theme - uncluttered and lots of space. I have some problems with the blogroll display since upgrading to WP 2.1. Are there any instructions on how to make this compatible? Thanks!

  3. Never mind the preview, this theme displays correctly. As of 13-Feb, the theme was updated and an old file remains. Should be fixed soon.
